Fireproof

上星期六晚上與我的小組組員一起觀賞一套電影, 就是"Fireproof"。

這是一套美國福音電影, 故事講述一位消防員Caleb (Kirk Cameron)與他的太太Catherine(Erin Bethea)將要離婚的時候, Caleb的爸爸讓他讀一本名叫"The Love Dare"的筆記, 著他於四十天裡跟隨書中的指示對待Catherine, 希望他藉這本筆記能挽救他的婚姻。

他願意接受這挑戰, 但當他跟著筆記去關心他太太的時候, 她只有不斷拒絕他。過了二十天, 他終於忍受不了, 他要放棄了! 於是, 他爸爸帶他到十字架旁, 讓他認識什麼是真正的愛。他終於明白他不能靠自己, 他求神讓他學習怎樣做一位好丈夫。

最令人感動的是Caleb 向 Catherine說對不起的那一段。他是真心的認錯, 當中的每一句對白也能觸動觀眾的心。他再一次說他常與他的同事說的話, 就是: "Never Leave your partner" , 於是Catherine也流下感動的眼淚。另外, 他的父親帶他到十字架前的那一段也是很感人的。而我就覺得Caleb在牀邊跪下向神禱告的那一幕令我印象難忘。還有的就是當他知道原來當年想離開的人是他的父親, 而不是他的母親的時候, 他也很後悔怪錯他的母親。他立刻跑回家, 投向他的母親懷抱痛哭, 母子之間的親情盡現!

除了親情, 愛情外, 電影也有友情的成分。Caleb的好朋友 Michael常在他身邊鼓勵他。他提醒Caleb要用心去做, 因為敷衍了事是不可能達到理想的效果, 而別人能看得出你是否真心去做, 這對我來說也是一大提醒。當Michael知道 Caleb已信主, 他也替他高興, 更鼓勵他:"Don't follow your heart, you take the lead, your heart may deceive you." 我們有時候自己欺騙自己, 若下了決心, 便要堅持下去, 不要輕易放棄!!

至於Catherine的母親的先進儀器, 我們一看也估到是Caleb付錢的, 因那位醫生給我們的印象實在太差了!!我想像不到他也會願意為Catherine付款的, 後來得知原來他只付了$300。之後再發現他是已婚的人, 還到處黏花惹草。我們交朋友也不應只看外表或職業, 要帶眼識人。

這是一部很成熟的福音電影, 笑中有淚, 又不會硬銷主的福音, 又能明確解釋主的愛, 真是一部難能可貴的佳作, 令人再三回味! 我誠意推屆這部電影, 謝謝美心借出她的DVD。
