Christmas Prayer

My friend, Gladys, shared this with us, it's the Christmas Prayer and I found it very meaningful!

 

Loving Father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy to be Thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven,

for Jesus' sake. Amen.

Twilight

I just watched this film with Kali yesterday.  It's a purely romantic modern-day story between a vampire, Edward Cullen and a girl, Isabella Swan.  I think the relationship between them is difficult to describe as Edward is attracted by Bella's scent but he has to stop himself from this temptation.  He has been waiting for this girl for 90 years.  He always has a strong sense to protect Bella.  He manages to stop sucking her blood by his conscious near the end of the story.

Edward and his family claim themselves to be vegetarians as they do not drink human blood.  I find it very interesting.  It seems that there are good and bad vampires in the world.  They are not as scary as we think!  Some of them even have super powers like Edward can read others' minds and the other one can see the future. 

I like the actress, Kristen Stewart, very much as she looks so gorgeous and her acting is very natural.  It seems that her eyes can speak! She handles very well for her relationship with her father.  The film is shown from Bella's point of view so we can see how she traces all the things and histories of the Cullens'. 

One particular scene was impressing for me and that is the time when they fly to the tree top up in the mountains.  I think this is a real difficult shot and it is well designed by the director.  Also, the ending shows clearly that there might be a sequel to this film.  Let's wait!!

If you like watching romance, don't ever miss this one!

My recent news

I have been practising hard for my Jazz Funk performance held in mid-Feb!  Actually, that's the Valentine's Day!  If you have time, do come and support me and my dancing crew!  Hope everything can run smoothly on those days! 

Last week, I went to the hospital after I accidentally slipped on the ground after taking a shower at home!  The medical report of the X-ray department says that I am fine!  So, I was not able to dance for a few days but today, I can walk and even run as usual!!  Haha!  Thank you Lord for healing me!  Don't worry about me! 

Today is the Christmas Party and so, the holidays have started!!!!!!!!!!  I have to take a good rest! and sleep as long as I can!!  Haha!  I hope my students can work very hard on their coming mid-term exams!  I will pray for them all the time!

May the Lord bless all of you!  and Wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Remember the meaning of Christmas: to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God and the Almighty one!

暂别了，四姑婆！

星期日的安息禮拜﹐還有星期一的安葬禮也順利完成﹐真是感謝神﹗在此﹐我很想謝謝教會的所有教牧同工和黃執事﹐謝謝你們為我的四姑婆決志和洗禮。也謝謝幾位詩班的成員(Emily Lau等)抽空為我的婆婆獻詩。

另外﹐我當然有謝謝我的小組成員﹐因為你們特別為我的婆婆唱詩﹐包括Louise, Wennee, Kali, Noel。我真的很感動﹐因為你們除了為我的婆婆唱歌外﹐你們還不斷地支持我和我的家人﹗也謝謝幾位本來願意唱詩的幾位朋友﹐有Little O (Shu Kam), Sammy, Man Man, Bing Kin, Dick 和他的兩位朋友夫婦﹗也謝謝你們的出席和禱告﹐我很想對你們獻上萬二分的謝意﹗也謝謝我的朋友, 弟兄姊妹和同事們的慰問﹗

我也很想借此機會謝謝我們大衛家的家長潔嫦﹐她不但是我的屬靈戰友﹐更是我最大的安慰者﹐她是一位很有恩賜和屬靈智慧的姊妹﹐每次她為我禱告之後﹐我便能安睡和更有力量面對困難﹗Gladys,真是衷心的謝謝你﹗

對於我婆婆的喪禮﹐我最擔心的是媽媽的情緒。她最後也能將她為婆婆所寫的詩獻頌給大家聽﹐但是她在星期一的安葬禮便大哭了﹐而今天已經好多了﹗

很多人也問我心情好了點沒有﹐我也會說好多了。其實我很想與大家分享一下我這星期的心路歷程。當我和幾位弟兄姊妹上星期相約一起祈禱後﹐我的心慢慢的變得很正面。每次我向神為婆婆的事祈禱的時候﹐我都會有一幅圖畫浮現﹐就是我的婆婆在天家很快樂的樣子﹐她將來會迎接我﹐換句話說﹐我們只是暫別﹐我們將來在天家必會再重聚﹐而且我對此事是滿有信心的。

在星期一的安葬禮中﹐獻詞是這樣說的﹕

“既是天父叫這位他所愛的歸回他那裡﹐現在我們把她的身體火化。我們確實相信﹐凡信靠耶穌基督而死的人﹐必定復活得 永生。當耶穌再來的時候﹐他要按着他的大能﹐改變我們卑賤的身體﹐像他榮耀的身體一樣。”
