"There's good, there's evil...... and then there's Batman."
I love watching Batman cartoons as they are well drawn with good storylines!
This time, the film is very exciting! I am attracted by the acting of the villain, the Joker (played by Heath Ledger). Every gesture and every word he said are so evil. Even though Batman works with Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, they still cannot capture the Joker. It seems that the Joker is the most intelligent person in the movie.
I think this film shows the human nature! At the time when two groups of people who have to decide which ferry they have to destroy with explosives. Both parties do not trigger the explosives and none of them are injured, this is something out of the Joker's expectation. Also, the Joker is a person who is queer and special as he wants to make Gotham City chaotic for no reason. He just likes the taste of it, not for money or for power and so on.
As for Harvey Dent, his two-face is really terrifying and he decides everything by a flip of his coin. He became a brutal person because of the death of his loved one, Rachel. The Joker succeeds in turning him into a villain during the end of the film.
As for Batman, I prefer George Clooney instead of Christian Bale as the actor. He looks too slim to me as I think that Batman should be a person who is much stronger. I love the motor bike very much as it can go everywhere with high speed with its small size.
I think the best actor is Heath Ledger (the Joker). Heath Ledger describes the Joker as a "psychopathic, mass murdering and schizophrenic clown with zero empathy". He prepared himself for this role by living alone in a hotel room and keeping record of his thoughts as the Joker. At the end, after shooting this film, he died young at 28 in New York City because of accidental overdose of prescription drugs. What a pity! I do think he is a good actor! Also, you can see Morgon Freeman and Edison Chen in this film.
At the end of the film, Batman is willing to take up the responsibility of murdering several criminals though he has done nothing wrong. Jim Gordon describes him as the silent guardian and the dark knight.
If you want to be very excited for more than 2 and a half hours, go and watch the Batman, the Dark Knight!
